The Brifor Youth Association (BYA ) last Saturday May, 1, 2021, has elected new executives to run the affairs of the association as the office term of the previous executives has ended.
The newly elected executives included Madam Vivien Ne-ormah Nyuon,as President; Mr Simon N.Tikpiri, Vice President; Mr Bereh Alex, as the Secretary; with Mr Benjamin Biryen as deputy secretary; Dr Yiporo Danyuo,as the Organizing secretary; with his deputy being Mr Peter Nichiitey, Mr Vuur Francis was elected as the Financial controller,Mr Daniel Belsitey as the Treasurer, Ms Grace Kpaliko won as the Women’s commissioner and deputized by madam Linda Kpaaye while Joseph Sei Wereh,a student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism was elected for the PRO position.
The out- gone president, Mr Joseph Tii Dari in his address, charged his successor to work with due diligence and integrity and to uphold peace among the Brifors.
He congratulated the new executives and praised the out-gone officers for their dedicated service to the association.
Pastor Danaa Kwaku of the Pentecost Church incharge of media, administering the oath of office to the new executives urged them to work extra harder and emphasised the need for concerted effort to building a unity and peace among the Brifors.
He called for a united and peaceful Brifor tribe and hoped that the youth would actively participate in nation building activities.
The new president association, Madam Vivien Ne-ormah Nyuon, speaking on behalf of her fellow executives said her message was peace, and hoped that the youth and the elder generation would partner to bring peace to all Brifors and to the country.
Also present at the event were the MPs for Wa West, Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu and Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey, for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, with both urging the new executives to work to their fullest potentials.
