The Bole-Bamboi Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustine Jimah has called for unity within the ranks of the party to ensure victory in the 2024 general election.

Mr Augustine made this known to Yagbon News after he was elected as the constituency secretary at the party’s delegates conference at Bole on Saturday.

He called on members of the party in the constituency to put the past behind them and contribute their quota to move the NDC forward as it prepares towards the next national elections.

He said the peaceful nature of the election in the area signifies that the NDC is the ultimate winner of the day, and added that “the election was only to choose people to lead, no one has won, you are still a member of the party.”

He urged supporters of all contestants to maintain the peace in the area and not cause trouble, “do not go about fighting because your candidate has lost,” he said, and called on them to unite and work hard to win election 2024.

He urged the other aspirants to unite and build the strong NDC community that we want, let’s get more people to set such examples where losers in an election support the winner.

Mr Augustine, therefore, urged all who lost, and their supporters to rally behind the elected executives to improve the fortunes of the party.

He also has expressed gratitude to the delegates, party cadres and faithfuls of the Party for the confidence they had in him.

Mr Augustine expressed gratitude to God for the victory, and said, “I also want to thank the delegates of the constituency for giving me the mandate to serve the as the chief scribe of the party in the constituency for the next four years.”

He expressed that: “I thank them so much for what they have done, this victory calls for more work to be done, galvanize support across the region towards the Party’s victory in 2024.
