The Bole District Asssembly members in the Savannah Region have voted against the president’s nominee Hon. Veronica Alele Heming as the next District Chief Executive for the Bole District.

Her rejection followed the District Assembly election held yesterday, 6th October, 2021 at the Bole district assembly conference hall where she polled 17 votes out of a total number of 39 Assembly members representing 43.85% of the total vote cast with 22 Assembly Members representing 56.41% voting against her renomination.

The Bole District Assembly is made up of 39 assembly members of which 12 members are government appointees with 27 elected assembly members.

Speaking to Yagbon News the Presiding member of the assembly and the assemblyman of the Seripe Electoral Area, Hon. Jamani Bakari noted that the outcome of the election is a true reflection of the stand of the people of the bole district and each of the assembly members prioritized the development of the district before casting their ballots.

“The outcome of the election represents the interest of the people of Bole. The assembly members voted by considering the development of the district first and not their personal interest”, he said.

However, he empathized with Hon. Veronica Alele Heming and wished her well in her future endeavours.
