The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Chairman Alhaji Abu Bilfu, alias Chairman Tico, together with the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Hon.Sulemana Yusif, has gone beyond his main function as a law maker to exercising a philanthropic arm to one of his constituent’s, Simaal Tihiine Sei, who has been battling with a keloid for the past 17 years.

According to them , they were motivated to provide assistance to the boy because they considered themselves as philanthropists than “just politicians”.

Chairman Bilfu told Yagbon News that he was approached by Mr Tilo John a member of the New Patriotic Party in the constituency who narrated the boy’s condition to him and he decided to take up the issue to ensure that he receives better medical care.

The boy in question, Simaal Tihiine Sei, who is the first child of eight children, has been suffering with a condition called keloid.

Sei is expected to undergo surgery on 31st August 2022,and according to the medical officer at the Akomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital the boy’s condition will cost an amount of GH₵5,200.00.

The Member of Member of Parliament ,Hon.Yusif had earlier on donated GH1000 to him which was used as a transportation to Kumasi and purchased other essential drugs while the Chairman Alhaji Abu Bilfu gave him GH 3,000 remaining GH 2,200 for the surgery fee to be covered.

A keloid is a growth of extra scar tissue. It occurs where the skin has healed after an injury.

The 21 year old boy who completed Wa Senior High School last year and without a biological father is therefore appealing to the general public for support to enable him carry out the surgery on the stipulated date to save his life.
