Bole District Community Foundation sensitizes artisans on entrepreneurship and reproductive health matters.

The Bole District Community Foundation on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, organized an entrepreneurship and reproductive health education for tailors and dressmakers within the Bole town.

The Community Foundation in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service took zone two and three of the artisans through teenage pregnancy and HIV /AIDS.

Addressing the the participants, the District Health Promotion Officer, Mr Musah Moro said teenage pregnancy should be given a special attention
due to complications which might lead to death.

According to him, as at October, 2022, teenage pregnancy cases recorded were 124 with victims falling between the ages of 10 to 19 years.

H also said as at October 2022 ,677 tested positive for the HIV /AIDS in the Bole District.

He encouraged the artisans to take interest protect themselves and their love ones from these two ills in the society.

Madam Faustina, a zone two co-ordinator expressed joy with the kind of education given and called for more engagement on such education

Madam Naomi also with zone two equally said they had learnt new things as she indicated that if not for this opportunity they wouldn’t know how some reproductive system works.

The Savannah Regional Coordinator with community Foundation and a Board Member of Bole District Community Foundation, Mr Alhassan Abdallah said the education has become necessary as a result of the alarming rate of HIV/ AIDs and teenage pregnancies among school going age and artisans.

He expressed his gratitude to all their in small way contribute to the to see the success of the exercise.

He call on the people of Bole District to have confidence in the Foundation as every coin contributed will be accounted for as far as the development of the District is concerned.

Mr Alhassan maintained that all those in Bole who will contribute to the Foundation will surely see the fruit of their contributions.
