Two Salaga teams are in the finals of the 1st Edition of the Savannah Regional Under 13 Soccer Competition.

East Gonja_Salaga and North East Gonja_Kpalbe both won their respective semi final matches.

Statistically, Salaga Municipality will win the 1st Edition of under 13 soccer boys.

What some people need to know
North East Gonja Kpalbe is carved out of East Gonja_Salaga and is the last district in Savannah Region that was born in 2018 or so.

In the then Northern Region,North East Gonja participated in their maiden edition of inter-district sports in under 13 soccer boys at Zabzugu.

Salaga has always been a thorn in the shirts of other teams and has been to the finals at Buipe in 2018 where they lost 5-4 on penalties to Tamale Metro. In 2019 at Zabzugu, they came ill prepared and were placed 15th out 26 Districts and 4th in Savannah region districts where Bole came 3rd.

East Gonja has been performing marvelously in both under 13 and under 15 soccer boys.

East Gonja is likely to win the first 3 or 4 organized soccer tournaments in Savannah Region if other District keep sleeping.

Whiles other Districts are focused on winning some specific trophies in tournaments,Bole District goes to make up the numbers in all tournaments without targetting any area of specialization.

1.Soccer boys and girls…Tamale Metro
2.Volleyball boys and girls Yendi Municipal
3.Handball boys and girls..Kpandai District
4.Athletics boys and girls…Tamale Metro.

Savannah Region in Perspectives
Sawla District has a roadmap in clinching volleyball boys and girls,Athletics under 15 boys.
East Gonja Municipality has earmarked soccer for both Under 13 and 15.
Damongo is focused on Netball girls and Table Tennis under 15 boys and girls.

Maybe Bole and other Districts need to also prepare and organize for trophies instead of always adding up the numbers.

Areas Bole can easily win if given the needed support include Cross country boys and girls, Volleyball boys and girls and Hand ball boys and girls.

Statistically,Bole and STK Districts will be competing seriously for these trophies in any organized Under 15 tournament:
Volleyball boys and girls
Athletics boys and girls
Handball boys and girls
Cross country boys and girls.

Until we change our ways of selecting players and coaches for our sporting activities,Bole District will always go mad add up to the number in any competitive tournament.
