The Bole-Bamboi Branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to organize a capacity building programme, train it communicators to equip them with the necessary skills and information to enable them discharge their responsibilities diligently for the largest opposition party in Ghana.

The one-day programme on the theme ” using communication as a tool for victory 2024″, is to be held on Wednesday 29th December, 2021, at Mum and Dad lodge in Bole is one of many deliberate programmes by the party in the Region, as it readies itself for campaigning towards the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Speakers that are expected to honor the workshop includes, Hon.Yusif Suleman, Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi constituency, Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey, Member of Parliament for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the party, Alhaji Imoro Seidu, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament for Salaga South constituency, Hon. Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Yapei – Kusawgu constituency, Mr. Malik Basintale, Savannah Regional NDC Communication Officer and Mr Dramani Bashiru Amantana, Bole- Bamboi NDC Communication Officer.

Briefing Yagbon News ahead of the workshop, Bole-Bamboi Communication Officer, Dramani Bashiru Amantana, said, the training was one of the programmes put in place to equip communicators to explain NDC programmes to Ghanaians, ahead of the elections in 2024.

“It’s a strategy that we have as a party, and so we are going according to the strategy that we have. We do capacity building to equip our communicators to sell the policies and programmes of our party executed at the time we were b in power,” Bashiru said.

He explained that, it was important that, party communicators are taken through such programmes to equip them properly with the right information to enable them disseminate our party programmes and policies better.

He was hopeful that at the end of the workshop, beneficiary communicators, will be equipped enough to do what they are expected.

He added that, the NDC, has studied the needs and wants of Ghanaians and they shall give them the right information, so that it will inform their choice of leadership, which he concluded will be none other than the NDC in the 2024 general elections.

Similar programmes he mentioned, would be organized for the other communicators in the party across the Region.

He added that, the act of communication, is not just about picking up a phone to speak on radio, but to put a message across well, so that the listeners will understand, buy into them and absorb, especially at a time that there are new trends as a result of technology and dynamics of society, which communicators need to adapt to, and be abreast of.
