Chache Electoral Area Adopts Strategies To Improve Academic Performance.

The Assemblyman for the Chache Electoral Area in the Bole District of the Savannah region has mapped out a string of activities to improve the academic performance of pupils within the area.

At a meeting with the teachers in the electoral area on Tuesday October 26, 2021, Hon. Kusaari Alim Ebong tabled before them strategic measures to improving quality education which includes improving enrollment in schools, improving performance in schools, Ways of integrating the schools and the communities, improving girl child education the area, Ways of improving teachers conditions in the communities and a committee for education affairs in the area with a chairperson.

Hon. Alim Kuusaari, said it was a shared responsibility of all stakeholders to ensure improvement in education in the area.

To improve quality education in communities across the area he said teachers must be supported by parents in accomplishing their duties.

He noted that the move would help to improve the performance of the pupils and also enhance their literacy level.

Addressing the teachers he said despite their hard work and dedication to the teaching profession, challenges were hindering teachers’ services to the people.

He said challenges such as lack of accommodation for teachers, high staff attrition, defective school blocks, as well as inadequate teaching materials.

Hon. Kussaari also entreated parents to take the education of their wards seriously by providing them with all necessities to aid their learning.

He said quality education delivery in the area was a major priority and called for collaborative efforts to help champion it.

At the end of the discussions, a four-member committee set up was made up of Mr. Mohammed Issahaku- Headmaster of Jentige primary school as Chairman, Mr. Dagara Yiporo Thomas-Assistant Headmaster of Tinyekuraa basic school, Mr. Kipo Kutamini – Headmaster of Jentige JHS and Mr. Alfred Saanvuur – Assistant Headmaster of Chache basic school to steer the affairs of educational matters in the electoral area.
