The Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress Party in the Bole- Bamboi constituency Mr Bashiru Amantana is urging the constituency communicators who have boycotted all media discussions of the party over leadership neglect to calm down.

The communicators say the party’s leadership in the area have failed to reward them for their loyalty.

But speaking on the development on Yagbon radio morning show on Monday 19th July, 2021, Bashiru urged the communicators to cease fire, assuring them that their concerns will be addressed.

“I urge the serial communicators to be calm. We appreciate the support they are giving to the party and so it’s important that they go ahead and not give up, leadership has taken up the matter and so we expect them to remain calm,” he said.

He also added that the communicators should not grant interviews to any media outlet as the issue will be addressed appropriately by the leadership of the party.

Background.

Communicators for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole- Bamboi constituency of the Savannah Region have declared to boycott all radio and television discussions in the constituency to drum home their message of neglect by the National Democratic Congress party.

The party communicators, bemoaned the disparity in resource allocation to the communication bureau as part of their grievances and the total neglect by party hierarchy.

According to them, their sacrifices in communicating the policies of the party since 2014 to date have not been duly rewarded by the party’s leadership.

The communicators through a press release on July 17, 2021, have served notice to boycott both radio and TV programmes to signal the appropriate quarters their plight for immediate intervention.
