The Bole District Director of Health, Mr David Bakuri has said the misconception that Bole don’t have recorded cases of covid-19 is not true as the District has record five cases of the novel coronavirus.

Mr David made this known on Tuesday March, 02, 2021, on Yagbon Radio morning show “Tea cup” when he was interviewed by host Alhasaan Abdul Razack.

He gave the breakdown of the cases as; 1 case in Sawla, 1 in a nearby community in Bole and 3 cases in Bole.

He said the covid-19 vaccines are not yet in the District and urged the people in the area to come out in their numbers to receive the COVID-19 vaccination when the exercise gets to their locality.

He said getting vaccinated was the surest way to stay protected from the virus and it was important for the people to ignore the negative propaganda about the vaccines and get themselves vaccinated.

Mr. David advised the people to continue to adhere strictly to the various preventive protocols to stay safe and also accept the vaccines when they are called to get them and indicated that the vaccines were safe to protect the people from getting infected with the virus.

Persons who would be inoculated during the first vaccination campaign would include frontline healthcare workers, security personnel, teachers, persons with underlying medical conditions, persons 60 years and above, as well as political leaders.
