Over 50 supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress at Bole in the Bole- Bamboi Constituency of the Savannah Region have ditched their party, for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This came to light when the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye and other executives in the Region stormed Bole on 20th November, 2020, to engaged the residents on the achievements of the Nana Addo led government.

The group which was originally called Link Town Crew and now renamed Akati Youth noted that their defection to the NPP was compelled by the good policies of the Akufo Addo led Government among other development projects in their constituency as they argued that they have not been fairly treated by the NDC as a political party.

The leader of the defectees, Mr Alhassan Anass, speaking to the gathering said they campaigned for the NDC parliamentary candidate in 2016 to win the elections but has since neglected them after he won.

The group also vowed to ensure that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wins massively in their constituency as well as the NPP parliamentary candidate, Mr David Sei Demah with an overwhelming victory.

Nana B received the defected members from the biggest opposition party, with open arms as the country gears towards election come December 7.

Addressing the group, Nana B emphasized that the people of Bole should change their pattern of voting come 2020.

He reiterated that Bole has been voting for NDC all these years but can’t boast of any development project in the area but just in three and half years under the NPP government numerous projects have been executed.

He charged the electorate to reject NDC and their parliamentary candidate and vote massively for the NPP.

He donated party T-shirts to the group to usher them into the elephant fraternity.
