The Communication’s Director of NPP for the Damongo constituency Mr. Iddrisu Lamini, has said government’s fulfillment of its promises has improved development and enhanced the fortunes of people of Damongo in the Savannah Region.

For the past three years, he said, the NPP administration under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has fulfilled most promises made to the people in Damongo.

Mr. Iddrisu said this in a press conference organised on July 27, 2020, as the NPP welcomes the president to Damongo in the Savannah Region on Wednesday 29, 2020.

Mr. Iddrisu stated that prior to the 2016 general elections then candidate Nana Akufo Addo promised the people Damongo of a region and a water project should he win the election.

As promised by the president he has already created a region for us which we are much grateful to him, Iddrisu indicated.

Mr. Iddrisu, expressed satisfaction to the president for not relenting his efforts in fulfilling his promises to people of Savannah Region and Ghana at large.

The President is expected to cut a sod for the construction of a water project in Damongo on Wednesday July 29, the Damongo NPP chairman, Mr. Adam Braimah revealed.

According to him, the Damongo water project when complete together with other ongoing water projects will help address the water deficiency in the rural and urban areas of the country.

Mr. Braimah described the president as an adopted father who has since brought development closer to the people of Savannah Region.

“we are therefore grateful to H.E Nana Akufo Addo, Minister of sanitation and water resources, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah and the deputy chief of staff and parliamentary candidate for the Damongo constituency Lawyer Abu Jinapor for their tremendous efforts in making the project a reality”, Mr. Braimah said.
