Savannah Region: Sawla -Tuna-Kalba DCE nominee gets unanimous endorsement.

In a unanimous decision, Mr Saaka Sinkina has been endorsed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District in the Savannah region, securing a 100% approval from the assembly members.

This endorsement marks a significant vote of confidence in his leadership and vision for the district’s future.

All Dignitaries led by the Savannah Regional minister Hon Salisu Biawurbi arrived at the STK district assembly at 1pm.

The Bole Magistrate judge his Lordship Edward Essel sworn in 14 new appointees of the assembly .

In a welcome address by the Presiding Member of the STK assembly Hon Abdulai Mohammed welcome everyone describing the activity not only democratic obligation but also the symbol of the commitment to be part of the democratic principles of Ghana

Expressing his gratitude to the President Hon presiding member expressed his gratitude to the President for the nomination of Hon Saaka Sinkina as DCE.

In a speech, the Regional Minister Hon Salisu Biawurbi said the District is actually under development in terms of basic social amenities roads, electricity ,education, health among others which in light all this the challenge I think we should hasten the democratic process to kick start development .

The minister said galamsey is also a big issue at hand including trans boarder crime .

The minister also stated the implications of slowing down the process by stating that he is far away and might not response to situations quickly additionally the Member of parliament will not be available.

Be it as it may If he is available but don’t have the mandate to perform those leading a development gap.

The Electoral Commission conducted the election for which Hon Saaka secured 100 percent of the 45 assembly members present.

In an acceptance speech Hon DCE said he recognized the tremendous responsibility given to him as a leader.

He said he will work to see solve the challenges in the district.

The assembly member for sinda express gratitude to his colleagues stating this is not just a personal victory but also a testament to a collective progress and development in their various communities.

He reminds them of how mindful he is when it comes to collaboration adding he shall work with everyone irrespective of their ethnicity ,religion .

The Presiding Member expressed his gratitude to the President for the confidence in Sinkina adding that the peaceful nature of the process speaks a lot about the readiness of the District to embrace development.

He urged assembly members to rally behind the DCE so the district can see development.
