The Savannah Regional Nasara Coordinator, Madam Watara Barkisu has described as ignorance on the part of NDC in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency as they don’t have any power to seize their Nasara data collection booklet in Nakwabi.
She said this on Yagbon Radio on Friday, August 14, 2020 as she explained the purpose of the data collection in the constituency.
Madam Barkisu, explained that the exercise is a strategy to access perception of the Ghanaian populist in the elephant Government.
On Friday 14th August, 2020 an NPP member was on a data collection exercise in Nakwabi when his booklet was seized by a member of the opposition NDC which he perceived to be an exercise to delete names of opposition members in the Electoral Register.
Madam Barkisu said the table in their booklet has the details as in name, sex, political affiliate(red, blue, white), phone number area of stay among others.
The red means poor performance, white undecided and blue depicts good performance by the ruling NPP government.
“It is an NPP affair so they do not have any right to seize the booklet, this exercise is a nationwide exercise by NPP not only in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba”, she emphasized.
“Is the book for NDC?, is it bearing NDC Name?. In 2016 when you compile your green book and took round the whole country showing it to electorates who stopped you”, Madam Barkisu indicated.
Barkisu said if not for ignorance why will one take the law into his own hands.
However we found the book that was seized at Nakwabi, she noted.
She added that the incident has h been reported to the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Police command for investigations into the matter.
