The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region on Tuesday lost one of its leading members, Mr Mohammed Alhasaan Waala, and described his death as a great loss.
The late patriot Mohammed Alhassan Waala,was the first NPP chairman for then Damango-Daboya, now Damongo constituency.
He passed on to eternity at his private residence at Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Savannah Regional Secretary, Mr Issah Mohammed.
According to the statement, Mohammed Alhassan Waala lived a life of service, love and loyalty bequeathing same to his immediate family the NPP fraternity at both the Constituency and Regional level.
“He was a kind hearted patriot owing to his extraordinary disposition and attributes which endeared him to all”, the statement added.
Mr Mohammed Issah emphasized that the late Waala was not only a great asset to the party but also pillar behind the tremendous exploits chalked by the elephant family in the region.
“We can not discount his unmeasurable contribution to the growth of the party. His death is a big blow to us. The party would forever cherish his undiluted loyalty to the course of the party,” the statement furthered.
“On behalf of the Regional Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia, I convey to his children and the entire family, the condolences of the party”, the statement added.
