Hon Vida Diorotey, the District Chief Executive for Wa West District in collaboration with World Vision international Ghana has handed over a mechanize water system to the residents of Wolloyiri community in the District.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony, Hon Vida Diorotey on behalf of the District Assembly commended the donors for the kind gesture.
She said the mechanized borehole will support the improvement of various socioeconomic needs of the people in the area such as education, health and the inadequate water situation in the District.
The District Chief Executive, however assured the donors that the District Assembly led by the engineer will timely monitor the operation of the water system in the community.
Though the DCE thanked the donors for the provision of the water system to the deprived community, she appeal to World Vision International to consider extending their services to other communities in the District.
Meanwhile the leader of the West Africa of World Vision International, Madam Carla cautioned residents in the community to unite and maintain the life span of the system for generations to benefit.
She said their services extension will depend on how the current one is being managed.she said the mechanized system will go along way to reduce other sickness in the community.
