As the first round of the league nears conclusion in the Zone 6 of the Northern Regional Division Two League, Yagbon Radio Sports Desk previews one of the hugely anticipated clashes this weekend.
Our grassroot football expect Mohammed Sumani provided this:
The newly promoted side Bole Heart Babies FC will gladly welcome the division two masters STK Stars to Kurabaso Park on Saturday 25th February 2023.
This titanic battle will be a match to watch as Bole Heart Babies will be facing STK Stars for the first time in a competitive game.
The two teams met in a Pre season battle that favored STK Stars.
Bole Heart Babies FC
Bole Heart Babies started their league match on a tougher note as they lost by 3-1 to Bole Super Stars in a derby match.
The management of Bole Heart Babies came back stronger in their last two matches against Almighty Bole United and Kayinti Football Club. Both games ended in a goalless draw that gave Heart Babies a live line to settle in at the bottom of the league with 2 points.
STK Stars Football Club
STK Stars are bossing in Zone 6 as they have always represented the zone in the middle league, sub middle league and MTN FA cup leagues.
Their hopes of qualifying for Division one last two seasons ended up in vain when they topped the whole of the Northern Zone but were eliminated after loosing a protest case against Dreams FC after beating them 2-1.
They gathered momentum and psychologically disciplined the playing body and got back to the middle league again last season but unfortunately lost to a team from Kumbugu.
They set another record after advancing to the round 32 in the MTN FA cup last season but lost to Steadfast FC by 3-1.
Again and again STK Stars are back this season but currently sit 3rd on the standing with 4 points after 3 games.
Their super star striker Gbolo Abubakari who led the zone as the goal king with 7 goals last season has scored 2 goals this season so far. Can the defense of Bole Heart Babies FC defend against this deadly player?
Meanwhile, Bole Super Stars will battle Kanyiti FC on Friday whiles Bole United squares up with Pusher FC on Sunday.
The Kurabaso Park is the place to be this weekend.
