Partner in participatory Development (PAPADEV) with its development partners has held a stakeholders meeting in Bole on the sustainability and monitoring performance on school feeding program, capitation grant and teacher attendance.
The program is a collaboration of PAPADEV , CHRAJ, NCCE and Yagbon Radio launched in 2018 for Bole and Sawla Tuna Kalba Districts to improve the utilization of capitation grant school feeding and teacher attendance amidst creating public awareness on proper implementation of these policies by the Government of Ghana
sponsored by STAR GHANA FOUNDATION with funding from EU, DANIDA and UKAID.
Stakeholder in the program were brought to discuss the way forward on sustainability since the program will end in 2020.
The executive Director of PAPADEV, Mr Edie Telly Mangu was impressed with the achievements of the program. He enumerated a few of the achievement including response from local people and players in the educational sector as being positive .
Mr Telly however appealed to stakeholder to sustain the modality in other to maintain the best results achieved.
He emphasised that the program really exposed a lot of weaknesses of the those government policies and charged all to take advantage of those mechanisms to maintain a better system.
Other stakeholders were impressed by the initiative and suggested an undertaking to continue to put in individual efforts for a better society.
Stakeholder will meet to finalize on the exit plan .
