The District Chief Imam of Bole, Alhaji Mohammed Iddrisu on Thursday, March 19, 2020 called on the Muslim Community to adhere to the President’s directive of suspending all religious gatherings to control the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
He said “Jumah” prayers would not be observed tomorrow Friday.
Alhaji Iddrisu made this known when the leadership of the Islamic Community called upon the DCE to confine to her on their take regarding the president’s directive of banning all public gathering effective March 16, 2020.

The District Chief Imam urged all Muslims to follow the precautionary measures put in place by the president to stay safe.
Addressing the the Islamic leadership the DCE said the country has been struck by a disease which little is known in its management and hence urged all citizens to abide by the directive of the president.
” Even countries with sophisticated machines and better health systems are all falling prey to the COVID- 19 and hence we have to observe the preventive measures in order to prevent the virus from spreading.”
Speaking to Yagbon News, the DCE urged all market women to strictly observe the preventive measures issued by the Health officials as in ensuring regular washing of hands with soap under running water, using hand sanitizers regularly, avoiding hand shakes and ensuring that there are spaces among themselves in the market among others.

The president of the the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo on 15th March, 2020, banned all public gatherings in the country as a stop gap to containing the outbreak of COVID- 19 in Ghana.
As of today, Ghana has recorded 11 positive cases of COVID- 19.
