The Savannah Region NPP Deputy Communications Director Fredrick Tahiru has said the the NDC in Savannah region has failed yet in another evidence of propaganda against the NPP government.

He disclosed this on Friday, May, 22, 2020, in a press briefing in reaction to a a petition by the NDC in Savannah to the Overlord and king of Gonjaland in Jakpa Palace on Thursday, May,21, on the persecution of Alhaji Osman Mimina and the exclusion of Savannah Region in the 88 District hospitals promised by the President Akufo Addo.

Reacting to the petition just twenty four hours after it was presented, Mr Tahiru said they, the NPP in the Savannah Region also sympathize with Alhaji Mimina on his incarceration.

Alhaji Mimina was a former Deputy National Security Coordinator of NCA under the John Mahama led government and was investigated for his involvement in the purchase of communication equipment for the NCA.

He was convicted after a trial by the criminal code of Ghana for five years by the judiciary for his role in a scandal.

“If any one who has any issue with his jailing can go to appeal court but not involve our revered Yagbonwura”, Mr Tahiru asserted.

Mr Tahiru quizzed if all the others were convicted with the same code were to involve chiefs what would have happen?

The Savanah Region NPP then called on the leadership of the NDC in the region to call Mr Malik Basintale, the NDC Communications Officer to order for his actions in the region has the tendency to cause disunity in the already united Savannah region.

The NPP Said a Kyebi brother created region for Gonjas and other tribes on the land when a brother couldn’t do that as a president.

So if has pledged to give the region three hospitals he will deliver on that.

He has pledged to give one to Daboya in the north Gonja district, Kpalbe in the north east Gonja district and the Savannah regional capital with a an ultra modern regional hospital.

To this regard the NDC has failed yet another evidence on issues of fact on these matter and are optimistic that the wise king of Gonjaland will not give this frivolous petition, Tahiru stated.
