Nasco Feeding Minds launches a software in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District.

Nasco Feeding Minds, a Non- Governmental Organization in the Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District of the Savannah has on Thursday November 3, 2022, launched a ProFuturo ICT project.

ProFuturo is a software that helps students and teachers to easily learn by accessing books of all subjects and preparation of lesson notes under a local network.

In a welcome address, the Executive Director of Nasco Feeding Minds, Mr Banasco Nuhu seidu, said the program is to augment the efforts of government in providing quality education.

He said the started building the capacity of students in the District in 2012 and now has a total of 14 computer labs with two in Techiman Municipal and 12 in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District.

He said the software contains all the syllabi in a local server which is already networked which allow students to access their subjects and teachers to prepare lesson notes.

The program powered by ProFuturo with sponsorship from Telefonica foundation and la’Caixa foundation in spain comes with 6Coachs and Tablets for the teachers and students in all the 14 centers.

The District Director of Education Mrd Abiba Bakari Soale called on the beneficiary schools to embrace the project.

She narrated how some students in their time that understood google benefited from that platform.

She however said this has given teachers and students easy access to information unlike their time.

Mrs Abiba pledged her support for the project to uplift it usefulness.

Speaking on behalf of Bolewura Boajibitowura Albert iddisah said ICT has got a long history and said that during their time, for one to have access to information was on telegram but to day we have phones and computers.

He however called on students and teachers to leverage on the software to make the District proud as far as the teaching and learning of ICT is concern.
