Miss Birifor 2023: Wa West Georgina crowned winner.

The Miss Birifor season one crown is heading to Wa West District after its representative, Murubartey Georgina was crowned winner on Sunday.

Born Murubartey Georgina, beat competition from three others to win GH¢1,200 cash, a certificate and the crown.

Regina also from Wa Wast District came second while Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District Emelia was third.

Fourth was Dari Lovia from Nyoli.

It was a night of keen competition at the Tuna cluster of schools park, the venue of attraction, as the four slugged it out with breathtaking performances in the first round.

The first round was on general knowledge on the Birifor culture.

The second round had the ladies performed in a chosen topic.

Georgina performed on the reasons why some Birifors who are wealthy somewhere found it difficult returning to their hometown.

Emelia spoke on the need to invest in girl- child education while Regina spoke on the rising effects of drug abuse among the youth in our communities.

Dari Lovia performed on ways of ensuring that food is always available in our homes (food security).

Regina walks home with GH¢800 and a certificate for coming second while Emelia gets GH¢600 and a certificate for coming third.

Lovia receives GH¢400 and a certificate for placing fourth in the contest.

The beauty pageant was organised as part of activities marking the 47th biannual Congress of the Birifor Youth Association held at Tuna in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.
