The Martyrs of Uganda Polyclinic in Bole , has been earmarked to benefit a 30-bed capacity ward ,the Bole Chief Executive, madam Veronica Alele has said.

The DCE made this known at Bole during the inauguration of the Martyrs of Uganda Polyclinic by the Damogo Diocese of the Catholic Church on September 15, 2023.

Hon. Veronica noted that patients who will be admitted at the new Polyclinic need more space hence the necessity of a ward.

She expressed hope that the ward, when completed, would go a long way to improve health care service delivery to the people in the area.

She said the facility would help improve maternal health services to the people in the area.

Hon.Veronica was hopeful the polyclinic would become a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery particularly in the area of reducing maternal and neonatal deaths.

The DCE also entreated residents to patronise the health facility and have confidence in the health personnel to address their health needs.

Mr Iddrisu Mohammed, Deputy Regional Director of the Ghana Health Services who spoke on behalf of the Regional Director, charged workers of the facility to embark on rigorous public health education in the communities to enable residents lead healthy lifestyles.

“The coming of this polyclinic should help reduce maternal mortality and lifestyle diseases in this community and its environs,” he charged.

Mr Iddrisu Mohammed asked the workers to adopt good customer care towards patients and uphold a high maintenance culture at the facility.
