The leadership of the Bole Technology Solution Center lead by the principal Mr Alhassan Salifu Tanko had paid a courtesy call on Bolewura at his palace on June 17, 2022.
Addressing the Paramount Chief and his elders, the principal said the call has become necessary because of the history of that facility.
He explained that the facility was formally called Rural Technology Facility which acquired it land from the palace of Bolewura.
So if there is any other development it is only necessary they inform the palace, he noted.
Explaining the main purpose for establishing the school, Mr Tanko said it is a government initiative to reduce unemployment by equipping young ones with skills to become employers adding that Savannah region was given three and Bole was previleged to be part of Salaga and Damongo as beneficiaries.
He said they run programs like Catherine, fashion and design, mechanical engineering, welding and fabrication and Electrical engineering.
He however lamented out of 105 students only 56 reported but sadly only one student is from Bole.
He said that admissions are still in progress for JHS from 2019 to date adding that it is under free SHS policy.
Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso( l ), said he is happy this has come in his time but will liaise with GES to organizer extra curriculum activities for them to compete in his traditional area.
He said the reason the southern sector is doing well is because of TVET and encouraged them to emulate.
He said university theoretical education is no more lucrative as you see graduates still selling electronic accessories in the market.
He encourage the students not to be discouraged by what people say about them.
Kansawurche Veronica A. Bukari, a former DCE for Bole said she established one under her tenure but was branded with all names and it collapsed.
So she pleaded that this time they should support the school to grow but was saddened only two ladies are attending the school.
She said all the programs could be learn under a tree but will you get a certificate? She quizzed.
Mr Augustine Jimah a supporting staff of the school explained that we need to train our children because it is about time things are done properly.
He explained that those who do this under trees do not has all it takes to meet international standards but with this school all that will be corrected.
