Last season’s Ghana Premier League best goalkeeper, Abdulai Iddrisu has taken to social media to express his heartfelt appreciation to everyone at his former club Bechem United for their support.
Iddrisu who joined the Hunters from STK Stars of Sawla in the Savannah Region in 2022 has now moved to sign for Azam FC in Tanzania.
He has this for his former team mates, technical staff, club officials and the supporters of Bechem United:
‘It is something I would never have dreamt of when I was a little kid, as it felt too distant and rare for a poor kid in the Savannah Region of Ghana , will one day play for one of the best premier league clubs in Ghana, but sometimes, reality exceeds dreams.
It would be impossible for me to express in this text all the feelings that I have been experiencing over the last weeks, but to sum it up, I would like to say I am the most fulfilled man in the world having represented this unique club(Bechem United) .
It goes without saying, I want to profoundly thank everyone who works for this club which makes it special, management board, the technical team, every team mate that I have played with and most iconically the supporters of this wonderful club.
I will like to also thank the club president whom I affectionately recognized as my father.
May Allah almighty richly blessed you in all ramifications. I say a farewell very pleased with the stage of my career and also very optimistic with the next to begin. As the great king Ayisoba once said “if I come to your house and you do me well, if you come to my house, I will retaliate “. Hahahaha My way of saying thank you to everyone for the enormous wishes and prayers . Surely I will retaliate.
The beautiful journey of the tortoise continues’.
