The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah together with the Savannah Regional Minister have given assurance to the people of Savannah Region that the government is ready to fix the damaged bridge linking the main Bole-Wa road.

The bridge, spanning across the Doli river on the outskirt of Bole , was cut- off on Sunday dawn as a result of torrential rainfall disrupting vehicular movement.

At the time the sector Minister and his entourage visited the site on Tuesday September 19, 2023, materials such as bolsters were been conveyed to the site to begin the repair works for temporary usage of the road.

Motorists from Wa and its surroundings traveling to the South now have to use the Sawla- Fufulso road to connect N10( Techiman-Kintampo road).

Motorists going to Wa from the South according to the Highway Authority are also using the Techiman- Kintampo Road and turn off at Fufulso junction and use the Fufulso -Sawla Road to Sawla and subsequently to Wa and beyond.

Motorists from Wenchi to Wa are however advised to use the new Longoro to Kintampo Road on the N10.

The Minister speaking to the media after inspecting the extent of damaged caused to the bridge as a result of the wash out said this is the biggest wash out he has witnessed since he became the sector Minister.

He however assured commuters of one of the busiest stretch in Ghana that all efforts are made available to fix the damaged bridge to make the road accessible again.

He said that he has recommend immediate measures to be taken in order to remedy the situation.
