Citizens of Dakomplayiri in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region have appealed to government and other benevolent organisations to support them in some challenges bedeviling the community.
The community members made the appeal during a sensitization forum organized by Dakomplayiri COP Child and Youth Development Center, a faith based organization in the community.
Addressing the media, an opinion leader lamented how their farm products get rotten during the rainy season due to unmotorized roads.
The leader explained they need a culvert to be constructed to the make the the road linking the major town easily accessible.
He said at times they lost unborn children in the raining season because they don’t have a CHIPS Compound or any health facilities and the road is not also accessible.
One of the community women leader also regretted how the have lost a lot of children during birth.
She said at the peak of the raining season they cannot even access the town to buy some groceries making life difficult.
The Director of Dakomplayiri COP Child and Youth Development Center, Mr Timothy Tungmene said they have supported the community for children development for two years, however they have realized the community is facing some serious challenges including road network and lack of health facility.
Mr. Timothy explained that they decided to bring community members together to start building a CHPS Compound before they can appeal for support.
The Director said they want to use the opportunity to appeal to the government and other benevolent organizations and individuals to argument their effort to build a health facility.
