Hon Yusif Sulemana (Ori), Member of Parliament for Bole- Bamboi constituency has urged the people in the area to come out in their numbers to receive the COVID-19 vaccination when the exercise is extended to the area.

He said getting vaccinated was the surest way to stay protected from the virus and it was important for the people to ignore the negative propaganda about the vaccines and get themselves vaccinated.

The Member of Parliament in an interview with Yagbon News on Sunday March, 07, 2021, after taken his first jab of the vaccine advised the people to continue to adhere strictly to the various preventive protocols to stay safe and also accept the vaccines when they are called to get them.

He said the COVID-19 vaccines were safe to protect the people from getting infected with the virus because medical experts have proved the safety of the virus.

“I have taken my shot for the past three hours and I have not experienced any alteration within my system and I believe that there will not be any negative change within my system because others including medical doctors have taken the jab” , he told Yagbon News.

Ghana on Wednesday 24th February took delivery of 600,000 doses of COVAX Vaccine from the Serum Institute of India.

On March 2nd, 2021, the rollout exercise began with the President, Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, together with their wives taking their jabs.

Since then, a number of Ghanaians have also been vaccinated across the country.

Persons who would be inoculated during the first vaccination campaign would include frontline healthcare workers, security personnel, teachers, persons with underlying medical conditions, persons 60 years and above, as well as political leaders.
