Founder of the Zion Community Church International and Executive Director of Frontiers Mission Network, Apostle Dr. Moses Sansah Konjon, has donated essential items to the vulnerable in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District and Bole District of the Savannah Region to fight Covid-19.
This forms part of the Church’s corporate social responsibility towards the national fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The items donated include hand sanitizers, veronica buckets, bags of rice, boxes of Soap, tissue papers among others at an estimated cost of 14, 000.00 Ghana cedis.
Presenting the Items, Apostle Sansah said the donation was intended to support the vulnerable in the two Districts thus; the blind, dumb and cripple in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him, the items would ensure the safety of about 1,561 vunerable in the two districts adding that they were at risk of contracting the deadly virus, if safety and precautionary measures were not adhered to.
He urged Ghanaians to observe personal hygiene as the disease continues to threaten countries with robust health systems.
Apostle Sansah also commended Government and health workers especially the frontline team managing the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Hon. Benjamin Ollo, an Assembly Member for Kporbaaryiri Electoral Area who was inspired at the Church’s gesture commended the leadership of the church, adding that Apostle Sansah is known for his social responsibility programmes and has supported the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District in many ways.
He urged other corporate organizations to support government and the people of his District in their own small way.
Last year Apostle Sansah drilled 7 boreholes in the Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District bringing it to a total of 34 boreholes drilled by him in support of providing portable water for the people of the district.
Provision of food, second hand clothings and free medical provision are some of the initiatives Apostle Sansah has been offering to the vulnerable communities in the Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District for the past years.
Apostle Sansah told Yagbon News in an interview that a team of 272 community health volunteers would be trained by his outfit to intensify education on the precautionary measures of the virus in almost all the communities of the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District.
Ghana, as of today April, 13, has recorded 566 positive cases of covid- 19 with 8 reported deaths.
