The Bole District of the church of Pentecost in collaboration with the Bole Traditional Council and the District Assembly has organized a massive clean up exercise in Bole in the Savannah region , on Saturday February ,29 ,2020 to help get the town out of filth.
The church members , students , zoom lion workers and other groups of citizens amidst brass band cleared choked gutters starting from the Bole police headquarters , through to Bole chief palace and ended at the Bole circuit court .
The supervisor of the event , who is also the pastor for the Pentecost church in the Bole District told Yagbon News that, the exercise forms part of a nationwide exercise instituted by the church annually to embark on cleaning our environment to complement government’s efforts of making our cities and towns clean.
He said this year’s event saw a different dimension with involvement of the Traditional Council and the District Assembly to drum home the need of maintaining better sanitational practices.
Pastor Benjamin Addo Boateng called on the Bole community to support the efforts of the churche to help enhance sanitation in Bole township .
Pastor Benjamin said , since cleanliness is next to Godliness , there isthe need for every citizen to maintain a clean environment.
The event was highly participated by all residents of the town as all shops were closed till 10am for an effective participation in the exercise.
