Bole District Health Directorate holds half-year review .

The Health Directorate of the Bole District Health Directorate has held its half-year review of the performance progresses and relapse of the health services in the district. 

The review was to help the directorate assess the performance of the health services within the district and find solutions to some of the identified challenges.

He exercise was based on the holistic tool indicator provided by the Ghana Health Service (GHS), to assess the performance of the health centres through the regional health services in a comprehensive manner.
Addressing participants at the half year review the Bole District Director of Health Services Mr. Dubik Daniel Dindiok welcome all stakeholders and said the meeting affords the Directorate the opportunity to interact with major stakeholders for quality health delivery.

The Director mentioned the objective for the year 2026 including comprehensive healthcare,safe maternal and child services,improve nutrition, immunization,conducting SMC among others.

Indicating the statistics within the half year Mr. Dubik said they have done significantly well.

In 2026, the sector saw OPD attendance 70,381, Skilled Birth 2,854, delivery by traditional birth attendance is 8 and total Maternal Mortality is 4.

He always mentioned some challenges as in lack of proper office accommodations for health Directorate, accommodation for staffs in the various facilities, inadequacy of staffs in the various facilities, poor infrastructure and lack of a mortuary to preserve bodies.

Dr. Abasig mentioned that Hon. Yusif Sulemana donates new Generator -250KVA, uncomplicated compound house being worked on by the Hon. Ori. Increase major surgeries, the MP also paid for Ambulance, reduced institutional mortality, MP Maternal Distress Fund established and increased in skilled deliveries.

The superintendent call for support to build a functional blood bank to reduce mortality death.

Including his presentation the Gynaecologist call on the residents to patronize the wellness clinic at the hospital for free.

He indicated that hypertension case are serious in the District and if citizens patronize the wellness clinic they can identify these special cases and deal with them accordingly.

The exercise brought together all the players in the health sector including private health facilities .
