Bole District Assembly to Rehabilitate Dams.

The Bole District Assembly has cut sod for the rehabilitation of two dams in the District to help improve the living conditions of dwellers in the district.

The dams funded by Safety Net are the Bole Dam (ponpi gbon) and Kapalyiyiri dam in the Bale electoral area.

The projects awarded to YUDDIS COMPANY LIMITED are expected to be completed within three months period.

Speaking to the media chief Dendiyiriwura who is the contractor said he needs the maximum co-operation from the people of Bole and promised to deliver as scheduled and of quality of the projects.

Speaking to Yagbon Radio the Hon. DCE for Bole, Veronica Alele Hermeng lamented the diversion of the dam meant to be sited at Wasipe to Kapalayiri.

She explained that the donors, chief and people of Wasipe could not reach an agreement to rehabilitate the Dam.

Hon. Alele reiterated her lamentation over the disagreement because the dam at Wasipe posed a threat to human life in the area, she noted.

The Safety Net Fund is to sponsor two afforestation projects and the Kapalyiri dam in the district.
