
The Bole District Assembly has on Wednesday 16th July 2026 ,held their Ordinary General Meeting of the 3rd Session of the 9th Assembly.In a welcome address by Hon. Dramani Adams Deen ,the Presiding Member of the Assembly welcomed members by reminding them of their duties.The PM, stated that this sitting is to access the achievements of the assembly and how far the district assembly has gone with the implementation of projects recommended to them and to also get know the assembly used and access the performance of the assembly through the district chief executive.He added that it’s an opportunity to table new developmental projects that would bring development to the Bole district and for all the 7 sub committees to learn and bring out their recommended projects to be reviewed to make them considerable,measurable and implementable .Addressing Assembly Members at the sitting the District Chief Executive for Bole, Hon Abdulai mamud welcomed all assembly members to the third Ordinary Meeting General of the assembly sitting.Hon. Abulai Mahmud touching on financial performance in the District mentioned that the assembly relies mainly on internally Generated Funds (IGF) and District Assemblies common Fund for the implementation of planned projects and programs. The office has received GHS 4,168,183.00 as it share of the 2025 4th quarter Common Fund and also mobilized GHS 573,183.00 internally within the first half of the year,2026 so while some progress has been made, there remains significant potential for increasing our local revenue.The assembly will intensify efforts to improve on the Internally Generated Funds through regular revenue monitoring, public education,strengthening of revenue collection mechanisms and enhanced supervision of revenue collectors.On Education, the DCE, noted that the sector has the received some considerable amount of varied support from the central government.the District assembly and development partners during the period under review.Again,His Excellency ,John Dramani Mahama in June this year cut sod for the establishment of STEM school at Tinga In the area of improving STEM education 14 Junior High Schools in the district have been provided with BSTEM materials (Science and Maths kits) and 34 science and mathematics teachers trained on how to use the kits.14 primary schools also received the BSTEM materials, however,training is yet to be carried out for teachers and 10 primary schools also received BSTEM BOXIES which are installed in the schools but training of teachers is yet to commence.Still on education,over four thousand mono desk and chairs have been received from the government and distributed to all Junior High schools in the district and one thousand mono desk and chairs also sent to Bole senior High by government In addition the DCE informed that the assembly has been awarded a contract for the supply of 684 dual desks,141 hexagonal tables with a corresponding 846 chairs and 90 teachers tables and chairs.Touching on health,he addressed that as part of efforts to enhance services delivery in the sector,the assembly has dedicated all funds earmarked under the DACF-RFG to procure health equipment for distribution to all health facilities in the District.On Agriculture,under the Feed Ghana Program 279 farmer groups with a total farmer population of 2,676 comprising of 1,846 male and 792 females have been registered so far.The district has received 2,500 bags of NPK and 50 bags of urea as part of its programme for distribution to farmers.Under the changing lives and Transformation Fund (CLTF) programme sponsored by world Food programme 154,623 seedlings comprising of cashew 47,579,mango 23,791 and moringa 83,253have been allocated to farmers in the district to help adopt climate smart agroforestry practices.Addressing the roads sector,through the District Road Improvement Programme(DRIP) significant progress have been.
