Bole District has once again demonstrated its dominance in volleyball, winning both the boys’ and girls’ competitions at the just-ended Savannah Regional Inter-District Sports Festival.
The impressive performance saw Bole successfully defend its reputation as one of the region’s strongest volleyball districts, securing a historic double after fierce competition from other participating districts.
The Bole teams displayed excellent teamwork, determination and tactical discipline throughout the tournament. From the opening matches to the crucial final encounters, both teams showed remarkable consistency and composure, earning the admiration of supporters and spectators.
The girls beat STK by two sets to zero as they did all other teams in the tournament. However the boys had to labour from behind having lost the first set to West Gonja and won by two sets to one.
Their success was built on strong teamwork, effective serving, solid defensive play and outstanding attacking performances. The players remained focused even under pressure, producing the decisive moments that ultimately secured victory for Bole.

The back-to-back double adds another memorable chapter to Bole’s sporting achievements and further strengthens the district’s reputation in volleyball across the Savannah Region.
Speaking the media after the victory, Coach Issahaku Osman aka Champion said the secret behind his teams performance is the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Gala under the able leadership of Mr Zakaria Tumeto Alidu.
He added that the association has dedicated coaches such as Coach Mohammed Sumani, Bakari Aziz, Ayomba Abdallah among others who sacrificed a lot to train the kids. ‘I want to dedicate this victory to all who contributed in one way or the other to train these children ‘ said Champion.
Unsurprisingly, six boys and six girls have been selected to be part of the regional team that has already begun camping for the competition in Accra.
