Friends of Raphael Kumah Abolosom, an aspiring Parliamentary candidate for the Bole-Bamboi constituency, Tuesday thronged the New Patriotic Party’s Office at Bole to pick up a parliamentary nomination form for him.
Gilbert Mujahid, Member of the Friends of Raphael Kumah Abolosom indicated that his good work is what informed their decision to buy the form for him.
“We believe in the good works that he is doing for the party, so delegates, friends, and Party faithfuls decided to pick the form for him contest for the Primaries as he is the most formidable candidate to help the NPP snatch the seat from the NDC in the Bole-Bamboi constituency”, Mr Gilbert said.
Mr Raphael Kumah Abolosom, is seeking to lead the NPP in the Bole-Bamboi constituency as the parliamentary candidate after a previous failed attempt in the 2020 elections.
The Friends of Raphael Kumah Abolosom, picked up the form for him after paying the GH¢3,000 nomination fee.
They were accompanied by some leading members of the Party, including Mr Gilbert Mujahid, constituency Director of Communication, Mr Aminu Issah, Deputy Director of Communication, Alhaji Aseaku a former Bole-Bamboi constituency Director of Communication among others.
Speaking to the media after picking up the form, Mr Aseaku a former Communications Director for the Bole-Bamboi constituency of the NPP, described Mr Raphael as a man of integrity, adding that, with him, the parliamentary seat was “on a serious path to the right place”.
“This is a man you can take to the market his word is as good as he has demonstrated even after losing the 2020 parliamentary race , he has served the people diligently and you can’t find anything wrong with his character, his competence or his credibility,” he eulogised.
Mr Aseaku said Mr Raphael was the only one who could snatch the Bole – Bamboi constituency seat from the NDC.
Also present to witness the picking of the form by the Friends of Raphael Kumah Abolosom were the Chairman of the Council of Elders Mr Abdulai Alhasaan,the constituency secretary Mr Mohammed Shiraz-Deen and the constituency research and elections officer, Mr Saaka Dinonah.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday, July 11 open nominations for parliamentary primaries in constituencies where the party has no representation.
The nomination will close on Thursday, August 10 with elections expected to be held from September to December.
The party indicates that male aspiring parliamentary candidates must submit a non-refundable filing fee of GH¢35,000 while women and persons with disabilities would pay 50% of the fee.
Aspirants have been urged to act according to the dictates of the party’s constitution and use the appropriate procedure to channel any grievances that may arise.
