As part of his commitment to quality education across the constituency,
the Member of Parliament for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, Hon Andrew Dari Chiwitey has again sponsored a mock examination for final year JHS students in the constituency.
A total of one thousand, one hundred and fourteen pupils have been registered for this year’s BECE. The mock covers all examinable subjects in the upcoming BECE.
This step taken by the MP seeks to enhance pupils preparedness towards their BECE exams.
This exercise is organized by the Hon. MP every year since 2017, to prepare candidates ahead of their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The MP believes this action will encourage and prepare students to perform better in their exams.
Hon Andrew Dari Chiwitey declared his intention to fight illiteracy in the constituency since his electing into Parliament in 2016. Among the initiatives instituted in tackling the challenge include, sponsorship package for brilliant but needy students, distribution of mathematical sets to BECE candidates, supporting communities both financially and building materials to raise school structures among others.
The District Director of Education and many others in the constituency commended Hon Andrew Dari Chiwitey for his commitment to quality education in the District.
