Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yusif Sulemana, has handed over renovated classroom blocks at Maluwe,Kiape and Kakiase communities in the constituency as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure.

The intervention, according to the MP, is aimed at providing pupils with a safer and more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

At a short ceremony at Maluwe to hand over the refurbished 3 unit classroom block the MP described the development as another important step towards strengthening education delivery in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency.

Some schools since their establishment have never seen any major work and have become very deplorable.

Some classroom blocks have had their roofs ripped off by rainstorms and have for a long time remained unattended, leaving school children at the mercy of the weather.

At the handing-over ceremony, the MP reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.“As an MP for the area, I am resolved to bring relief to my people.

The state of these classroom blocks under which pupils were studying is not the best.

I have decided to rehabilitate the classrooms to make them comfortable for our young brothers and sisters.

What we’ve done will go a long way to improve the educational standards here in the constituency.”Pupils and students can now have a conducive place to study.

Inaugurating the school blocks, Hon Yusif advised the teachers, pupils and management of the renovated schools to take proper care of the facilities through regular maintenance for them to last long.

“We are very happy that the MP has come to our aid. The classrooms were death traps, but now pupils and teachers can now have a conducive place for studies.

Teaching and learning can go on smoothly. We used to close any time it was threatening to rain, or the sun was shining, ” a community leader at Maluwe stated.Mr Richard Achinani Sepaga, the District Director of Education for Bole District praised Hon Yusif for making education development his top priority and investing many resources in that sector.
