The Business Advisory Center head of Rural Enterprise programs for Bole District in the Savannah Region, Mr. Adam Sinna, has said the number of people applying for the covid-19 stimulus package is not encouraging in Bole District.
He disclosed this on Yagbon Radio ‘Tea cup’ with Diwura Abdul Fataw where he explained the procedures in accessing this fund for businesses in Bole District.
Mr. Sinna explained on Yagbon Radio that there are two packages which includes “Adom” loans and “Anidaso” loans for micro and small enterprises respectively.
The “Adom” loan includes lower micro businesses which annual out turn should not be more than GHC 20,000 with employees between 1 to 5.
The upper micro businesses annual out turn should be Ghc 20,000 to GHc 135, 000 with employees between 1 to 5
With such application you only need a TIN as a fundamental requirement to access the fund, Mr sinna stated.
However small enterprises can access the Anidaso loan that deals with huge amount of money.
These are businesses with TIN, business certificates and a business permits including insurance among others.
He called on those who have businesses and are badly hit by the pandemic but do not have TIN numbers to come to the BAC office in Bole for support.
Government of Ghana in the second quarter of 2020 announced a stimulus package for businesses who for one way or the other are hard hit by COVID-19 in Ghana.
The virus was first diagnosed in Ghana on 12the march 2020.
Since then till date Government took a lot of stringent measures to protect the citizenry which affected a lot of businesses amidst the stimulus package supervised by the National Board For small scale industries and implemented by Rural Enterprises Project under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
