The secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region, Mr Mohammed Issah has implored upon the Member of Parliament for the Bole – Bamboi constituency to render an apology to the the Bole Imams and the Muslim Ummah for comments he made regarding a request by the Bole Imams to the Flag bearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to renovate the Bole central mosque for them .

According to Mr Issah an audio recording in his possession emanating from the Bole -Bamboi MP , he spent several minutes casting aspersions and insults at the said clerics and the Imam for simply asking for help to get the mosque renovated.

“Hon. Yusif Sulemana has once again demonstrated backward thinking and gross incompetence by the open and brazing insults on the persons and reputations of our Chief Imams in the Savannah Region, most especially the Bole Chief Imam. This cannot be the best way to get attention from Mr. Mahama and the NDC, and of course, cannot be a boaster for his desire to take over the NDC in the Savannah Region”, parts of the statement released by Mr Issah read.

BOLE-BAMBOI MP MUST APOLOGIZE TO BOLE IMAMS AND THE MUSLIM UMMAH IN THE SAVANNAH REGION FOR THE NAKED INSULTS ON THE PERSONS OF THOSE REVERED PERSONALITIES

Wednesday 24th July, 2024.

Mohammed Issah

I listened to an audio recording from a purported interview with the Member of Parliament Parliament(MP) for Bole Bamboi Constituency, Hon Yussif Sulemana. This was a supposed response to the plea of the Bole Chief Imam and his able clerics to H.E the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to help in the renovation of the Bole Central Mosque. The BBC MP spent several minutes casting aspersions and insults at the said clerics and the Imam for simply asking for help to get the mosque renovated. The Hon MP in his usual bravado had no better response to the NPP Flagbearer’ humble acceptance to assist in the above request but to vilify the Imams and subsequently dragged the Yagbon Imam needlessly into the insults.

This is unacceptable and must be condemned as we are witnessing.

Hon. Yussif Sulemana has once again demonstrated backward thinking and gross incompetence by the open and brazing insults on the persons and reputations of our Chief Imams in the Savannah Region, most especially the Bole Chief Imam. This cannot be the best way to get attention from Mr. Mahama and the NDC, and of course, cannot be a boaster for his desire to take over the NDC in the Savannah Region.

The MP cannot claim to know better when the request was rooted by the Imam through Yiram, Bolewura and his sub Chiefs. This very request was made publicly in the Palace by Garba, Mandariwura Gilbert Seidu Iddi, who spoke on behalf of Yiram, Bolewura Kutogi Fesu. The request was immediately granted by the humble Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia without hesitation.

At least 25 people visited the land of Makkah to perform Hajj in 2024 alone from Bole. It cannot be the case that, it was Mr. Mahama who sponsored them all. In the wishful thought of this non-performing MP, providing rice and a car is a novelty and it takes someone to be President before same kindness is provided, only to embarrass the Imams later.

Listening to the choreographed interview of the incompetent Mp, these questions suffice; is He suggesting He doesn’t know his constituency? That he doesn’t know the said Central Mosque needs renovation? And when he admitted to his attention being drawn to it, the best he could offer is to resort to arrogance, disrespect and insolence?

At a time his colleague MPs in opposition are openly liaising and collaborating with the government to bring development to their Constituencies, this apology of an MP is rather castigating clerics for advocating for development in the area He has failed. I am not surprised; He obviously knows he would sail through back to Parliament regardless his gross incompetence. He would be voted for even though He is yet to exhibit any sign of deserving to stay in Parliament.

Perhaps, the non-performing Bole Bamboi MP should take out the Bole Bamboi Constituency from the Nana-Bawumia created Savannah Region and prolly bring it back in the very unlikely event Mr. Mahama becomes President. He should quickly go and dismantle the Doli bridge that is done by H.E Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia. He must equally demolish the Savannah Regional Agric Office and bangalows in the Constituency. The markets, Polyclinic, audit Service office complex, schools, must all be demolished by this incompetent MP with the mentality of being a better NDC than his colleagues.

Is the Hon. MP not aware of Hundreds of mosques in Bole and thousands in Savannah Region that needs renovation? Must it take Imams to alert a supposed Muslim that, a whole Central Mosque needs renovation?

The MP failed to realize that, Imams are our spiritual leaders in the Muslim sense of communism, they’re a symbol of faith representation. An attack on them is an attack on us all because Imams were and still an integral part of Ndewura Jakpa’s conquerership.

Hon Yussif Sulemana and the NDC are so timid, thin fainted and lose grasp at the mention of anything Dr. Bawumia. Their attitude is in contrast to the administrative principles of Ndewura Jakpa who embodied inclusive cohesion. Hon Yussif and his bunch of NDC apparatchiks think nobody apart from them have the right to Gonjaland; they go at every length to employ wicked blackmails.

This very MP symbolizes an evil politician with manipulative tendencies who harbors hatred, hatches lies, gang-ups, politically sponsored mischief and evil plots against his perceived opponents. Good news is, no such weapon occasioned by Man shall ever prosper against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or the NPP in the Name of Allah. You can only find same within your failed NDC.

In conclusion, I join all well-meaning Gonjalanders in condemning in the strongest possible terms, the unprovoked attacks on our Chief Imams by Hon. Yussif Sulemana , while placing a strong indication to apologize to them as well. It won’t take only Gonjalanders to develop Savannah Region. It is a mark of disrespect to think that, Mr. Mahama’s bid to be President should prevent nobody from contributing his/her widows mite to Bole. Is it not shameful to Hon Yussif and Mr. Mahama, that with the over several decades of political relevance and privilege offered them, Bole cannot point to a single significant project or investment brought to bare. This NDC braggart who is fighting everyone in the party, so he becomes the face in the Savannah Region failed to establish anything concrete and now flexing his muscles as though Gonjaland belongs to him. He must apologize for the unfortunate comments at the Chief Imam.
