NGO Guides a Community on Financial planning.

A local Non Governmental Organization based in Bole Jaksally Development Organization has given guidelines to Goyiri community in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Region on basic methods of saving money through Village and Savings Loan Association ( VSLA) to improve their conditions of living on Tuesday, 3rd March, 2020.

In partnership with Vision Fund and GIZ MOAP initiative created an enabling environment for financial and agriculture activities of the area.

Four groups of the community accumulated a total amount Ghc 50,000.00 that was shared among the groups.

In a welcome address by the secretary of the associations Mr Fuseini Sufuyanii described the initiative as historic as the deputy regional minister has visits the community for the first time.

The chief scribe mentioned lack of electricity in the community as major hindrance to development.

Addressing the durbar, the Savannah Deputy Regional minister Hon. Emmanuel Yayu Tika expressy his excitement of the collaboration by Jaksally which is making strides in changing the social status of rural dwellers positively.

He said he hails from a village and so feel exited when people from remote areas are benefiting from such initiatives.

The deputy regional minister urged the people to take advantage of government flagships program since they are life changing policies.

The MOAP coordinator of GIZ Dr Andrew harberb assured the community over their preparedness to support the people of Goyiri.

Members of the association who spoke to Yagbon Radio expressed excitement about the initiative and and said they were grateful to Mr Jeremiah Seidu, the coordinator of Jaksally Development Organization for extending the initiative to their community.

A representative of the Member of Parliament for the constituency said he was impressed with the initiative and promised to relay their concerns to the MP(Hon. Dari Chiwitey Andrew).
