All Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Savannah Region yesterday signed a performance contract to enable them stay focus in the executing of contracts at their various assemblies.
The event which took place at the Savannah Regional Co ordinating Council, Damongo is an exercise that seeks to strengthen the working relationship between Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCE’s) and the Municipal and District Coordinating Directors and other departmental heads at the MMDA’s to yield good results under a serene working environment.
The Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah in a speech encouraged the Coordinating Directors to ensure that they work hard to ensure that things are done right at their Assemblies.
Few months ago a performance contract chart of all MMDAs in the country was published of which the performance of MMDAs in the Savannah Region were ranked at the bottom of the chart.
The DCE for Bole, Hon. Alele Veronica Heming reacting to this told Yagbon Radio morning show host Abdul Fatawu that she was saddened about the performance of the MMDAs in the Savannah Region in the 2018 report and promised that the 2019 report will be a good one for all Districts in the Region.
The Bole District was yesterday pronounced the best preformed District in the Savannah Region while Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District also topped all in the in the area of sanitation.
