Osman Abubakari of Ghana Institute of Journalism(GIJ) crowned Coordinator for Tourism Aim Ghana.

A student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Mr Osman Abubakari was crowded as the Coordinator for Tourism Aim Ghana at the Palace of the paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area.

The ceremony took place in Bole on 29th May 2021 to unveil the Blog for the northern zone.

The project seeks to harness domestic tourism opportunities, youth and community development.

Speaking to Yagbon Radio, the Director General of Tourism Aim Ghana, Mr Agormor Richard Delali Del, said tourism is one of the catalyst for development citing the YEAR OF RETURN and how much Ghana has benefited from the program.

He said today the tourism minister is now part of cabinet which makes the sector a serious one as that.

He said this has become necessary because those at the north are not always part of the dialogue and this move will create opportunities for those at the north.

He encouraged the youth to take advantage of this opportunity to market their tourism potentials.

The Board chairman of TAG Michael Appiah, said he is excited that his northern brothers are now part of this Global program.

He said this has created an opportunity for Northern brother to be part of any activity by the NGO that will bring a lot of development to the area.

The Northern Regional coordinator Mr Osman Abubakari said he looking forward to promoting most tourism sites in the northern sector specifically Bole.

He prayed for support from the people of Bole and the entire Savannah Region to be able to achieve this aim.

TAG is a child of TOURISM GLOBAL based in Dubai in the united Arab Emirates and has got chapters in the various countries across the globe with regional blogs.
