
The incumbent Bole- Bamboi constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Abu Bilfu, known as chairman Tico, was Saturday handed a shocking defeat in the Bole- Bamboi constituency elections.
Mr Bilfu, despite all efforts to retain his position, lost the race to his contender, a business man, Mr Mahama Yakubu, popularly known as Noto with a slim margin.
The incumbent chairman garnered 481 votes as against 489 votes polled by Mr Yakubu.
Mahama M. Yakubu heads the new executives as the Chairman, with Mahama Abdulai as 1st Vice , Peter D.K Piouvoure, as 2nd Vice,Mahama Issah Ozbone as Secretary, while Samuel Manu won the Deputy Secretary, Lansah Mohammed Kamila is the Organiser, Mahama Seidu (Airport) as the Treasurer.
Others are Mohammed Abudu Atitor, Youth Organiser, Seidu Aramata, Women’s Organiser, and Mr. Sulemana Razak Juwara is the Nassara Coordinator.
Speaking to Yagbon News after been sworn into office, Mahama M. Yakubu (Noto) expressed appreciation to the delegates for the confidence they had reposed in him.
He pledged their preparedness to work with some of the old executives who lost their positions and called for unity.
The newly elected Chairman, Mr Yakubu, called for unity in the party saying without it, the party cannot do anything going into the 2028 general elections.
He pledged to work hard to bring everyone on-board to consolidate the fortunes of the NPP in the Bole-Bamboi constituency.
