
The MP for Bole Bamboi Hon. Suleman Yusif who doubles as the deputy minister for land and natural resources in collaboration with the the Bole district assembly has held a clean up exercise to mark the national sanitation day which took place on Saturday 4th April ,2026.
Speaking to the Media after the exercise, the member of parliament Hon. Sulemana Yussif expressed sincere appreciation for numbers present and he also stress on the need for this clean up exercise, he said “if we don’t clean our environment we will be infected with malaria, cholera, typhoid emphasing that the record of typhoid cases is very high and it takes us to be able to be hygienic hence the need to intensify our cleaning exercises”
He also state that sometime ago we use to have the Zoomlion workers helping with the cleaning of the community but some reasons their contract has been withheld therefore himself and the D.C.E are putting plans together to employ people to help in the cleaning activities of the district whiles they wait for the government directives, so he will start with the women who were present for the clean up exercise about 100 women will be selected.
However, the MP also addressed some concerns about developmental issues in the consistency, he assured that on the 9th of this month the contractor and consultants will be taking delivery of site to start the construction of the 24th hour economy market, and also the Bole township roads will commence very soon as the constructor had started Carpenter,Joiboi ,Mandari.
Still speaking on development projects, he stated that the main road from Wenchi to Wa is under construction and he therefore plead with natives of the Bole community to comprehend with the constructor when he gets to Bole for dual road construction .
He also touched on getting clearance from the Finance Minister to start the new Bole hospital, he stress that the constructor is on site for the college of education at Doli and some construction on going at the Bole Senior High School.
He urged residents to make cleanliness a collective responsibility rather than a one-day activity, adding that the Municipal Assembly will continue to support initiatives that promote proper sanitation practices.
The immigration service, GNFS, Police service, Millitiary service, members of the blue water guards and members of the Bole community were all present for the clean up exercise.
