The National Association Of Farmers And Fishermen GNAFF has held its National Delegate Congress to elect new executives to help champion the interest of fishers and farmers in the country.
Dr. Kapori speaking to Yagbon News, stated that on 12th July 2025 GNAFF held its National Delegate Congress in kumasi the Ashanti Region to elect new national executives and God’s will he emerge as the National Secretary of GNAFF.
Dr. Kapori added that now he is the national secretary of the GNAFF the Savannah region and Ghana at large is going to benefit so far as farming is concerned.
The National Secretary added that Savannah region has the Black Volta and White Volta transcending across other regions and we will be having projects and he wants us to take advantage of that.
If you come to Savannah region we also have arable lands and it is an advantage for us as a people in the region and if we leverage on the quality soil we will be able to do irrigation farming.
One of the opportunities I want us to take is that, I want to encourage the youth to see agriculture as one of the prospect business that we all need and also let’s see agriculture today as a business.
Out of a total of 136 valid votes cast, Dr. Abutu Kapori polled 76, while Mr. Dawuda garnered 60.
Dr. Kapori thanked delegates for their confidence in him and pledged to lead with vision, and purpose.
“I call on the youth both Males and Females, Ghana today the policy for agriculture is Feed Ghana and so let’s take advantage of the program and if you want to go into poultry, fishing or farming let’s take advantage of the program and we will benefit from it”.
