Hon.Abdulai Mohammed, the Presiding Member of the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District who is the Assembly Member for the Kawurbi Electoral Area , has donated various items to 20 Muslim women in the Birifor community within his electoral area as part of marking this year’s Ramadan.
The beneficiaries received cooking items including mini bags of rice, boxes of tomatoes and boxes of cooking oil.
Speaking to Yagbon News, the Presiding Member said the donation was to build strong relationships with all in the society.
Presenting the items, Hon. Mohammed admonished to community to embrace peace, eschew violence and also live in harmony with people’s from other faith.
He also asked them to pray for the President , John Dramani Mahama and the entire nation.
The beneficiaries, expressed their gratitude to the PM for the gesture.
The Presiding Member for the Assembly advised the youth not to use Motorcycle to cause mayhem during the celebration.
He explained to the youth that “Eid day, is meant for celebration, but our celebration must be guided by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW)” he stated.
