An Assembly Member for Yapie Electoral Area in the central Gonja District of the Savannah Region Hon Iddi kamel has appealed to Lawyer Abu Jinapor to support the people of Yapei Kusawgu in the lockdown areas.

He said this in an interview on Yagbon Radio ‘teacup’ with Diwura Abdul Fataw on friday.

Mr. Kamel said he was reliably informed the the deputy chief of staff on 3rd April 2020 made a donation to effected people of Damongo constituency in the lockdown areas.

He did this donation to them as a result of his interest for the seat of the constituency, he indicated.

But we all know him to be a philanthropist as being described by many.

He stressed that it is very hard for constituents of the Yapei- Kusawgu constituency in these lockdown areas as they called all the time to complain and Hon Jinapor in his influential position is the person to be able help this constituent.

He comes from Buipe in Yapei – kusawgu constituency therefore in this difficult times he needs to help as powerful and influential he is.

He should not wait to become a chief of the area before supporting them. They need his support now Hon kamel stressed.

Hon. Kamel said they are yet to issue a release on that. But at this time the person who can take such a quick action is the deputy chief of staff.

Hon. Kamel added that they are appealing to all well to do indigenes of the area to support the poor ones in the lockdown areas.

He said when this whole disease started in Ghana the MP Abdulai Jinapor donated items to his electoral area to support in the fight of the virus.

He also thanked consultative forum for supporting his electoral area.

He urged everyone in the constituency to stay safe and observe the precautionary measures in preventing the spread of the pandemic.
