A former National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba Constituency in the Savannah Region, Mr Ernest Botah, has called on Ghanaians, especially people in the constituency, to vote massively for the NDC in the forthcoming December 7 general election.
That, he indicated, would enable the NDC to address the economic challenges confronting the country as a result of the mal administration of the current government.
He made the call during an interview with Yagbon radio on a program dubbed ” Dagaaba NDC caucus” of the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba constituency.
Mr Botah ,said most of the youth were now unemployed as such could not earn anything for their livelihoods, especially paying for basic needs such as food, due to the worsening economic situation.
“I am here to carry the message of salvation to every home within the constituency because what we are experiencing now is unbearable and the only way to reverse the situation is to let the people kick out the NPP.
“This can only be possible if most of the households turn out on December 7 to vote out the NPP,” Mr Botah said.
He stated that the NDC flag bearer, John Mahama, who was the President between 2012 and 2016, brought a lot of development to the country and improvement in the living standards of the people.
Mr Botah said it was only Mr Mahama who could restore hope to the country by addressing the myriad of challenges facing the country, particularly the high cost of living and unemployment.
He added that the 24 hour economy policy championed by the flag bearer of the NDC is the best bet to salvage Ghana from the teeming youth unemployment.
“Ghana currently needs change, a change in government which will lead to improvement in the living conditions of the people,” he stated.
Concerning the chances of NDC retaining the constituency seat, Mr Botah stated that the hardship being experienced in the constituency had drawn the few supporters of the NPP in the constituency to the side of the NDC, adding that their candidate Hon .Andrew Dari Chiwitey would definitely retain the seat, come December 7.
