Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia embarks on a two- day working visit to Savannah Region.

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia had embarked on a two- day working visit to the Savannah Region.

During his visit he paid a courtesy call on the Yagbon wura Tuntumba Boresa l, the king of Gonjaland.

In a welcome address Yagbon wura said that Dr Bawumia is a son and always welcome to his palace and assured him of their maximum cooperation at the Jakpa palace.

He blessed him in his political career and assured him of his prayer him in his political endeavors.

Yagbon wura requested of a bus for the chiefs in the Jakpa palace among other things.

The Vice President thanked the Overlord and told him that he came to the region to inspect progress of work on ongoing projects that the president couldn’t inspect during the last visit last month.

He said he commissioned a market complex in Salaga and inspected the Bonjai Fufuso road.

He also inspected the ongoing project at Larabanga Islamic Senior High School.

He however pleaded with palace to pray for him in his endeavors in the course of his political ladder .

He said Jakpa palace is his home and is also assured of a warm welcome any time he visits them.

Dr. Bawumia assured Yagbonwura and the people of Damomgo that works on the Damomgo water project will commence in November 2022.

The Vice President also assured Yagbonwura that his request were well noted and that they will be addressed accordingly.
