Jaksally development organization, an NGO operating in the Bole District has held a sensitization meeting involving chiefs and elders at the Bolewura’s Palace on 21st September 2020, dubbed the “role of customary land secretariat in promoting good local land governance”.
Addressing the chiefs and elders at the Palace, the coordinator of the Jaksally Development Organization, Mr. seidu Jeremiah urged Bolewura to set up a committee to help strengthen customary land management in Bole to promote good local governance and to help resolve conflict and misunderstanding among the people of Bole and it environs.
Also, he entreats Bolewura to try as much as possible to alert the office of Jaksally when giving out land to someone, so that the office can endorse the land, to avoid giving the land to a different person.
Mr. Jeremiah said if a committee is set up, in collaboration with the Jaksally Development Organisation, his office will help pay the transport fee if one is to travel for purpose of the committee.
However, Bolewura Sarfo kutege Feso (I) says he together with his elders will think about it, and report to the Office of Jaksally Development Organization later.
